Position: System Administrator II – Long-Term Contract (Remote, W2 Only) System Administrator II – Long-Term Contract (Remote, W2 Only) No C2C or Visa Sponsorship We are seeking a System Administrator II to support and maintain ROPS production applications and systems. This role is fully remote, long‑term, and requires strong technical troubleshooting skills, excellent communication, and the ability to collaborate across IT, product, and support teams. The position participates in a rotating after‑hours on‑call schedule, including key involvement during Month End Close (MEC). Responsibilities • Provide day‑to‑day support, maintenance, and monitoring for ROPS production systems. • Troubleshoot application and system issues, manage tickets, and support ~30 business‑critical applications. • Execute application updates, middleware support, vulnerability remediation, and server upgrades. • Oversee system performance, monitoring, alerting, backup processes, disaster recovery, and certificate administration. • Develop and maintain technical and functional documentation, including downstream KB articles. • Work with cross‑functional teams (support tiers, product, QA, engineering, vendors) to improve processes and resolve issues. • Identify opportunities to streamline or automate routine tasks and follow established change management processes. • Ensure adherence to IT security policies and best practices. • Participate in IT project work and other duties as assigned. Requirements • 3–5 years of experience in a similar IT/system administration role. • BA/BS in technology, business administration, or equivalent experience. • Strong experience with: • Windows OS, Active Directory, IIS • Backups, Windows clustering, disaster recovery • NTFS/share permissions, SFTP/FTPS, SSL/TLS • 3‑tier application infrastructure • Monitoring/alerting tools • VMware infrastructure • Database connectivity troubleshooting • Excellent written and verbal communication; highly detail‑ and process‑oriented. • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
