Surgical Case Dispatcher

Schedule: 1st Shift: Monday to Friday 7am - 3:30pm Overtime based on business need What you will do - As the Surgical Case Dispatcher, you will be responsible for the planning, routing, delivery, and pickup of all scheduled cases. Optimizing and ensuring that all drivers are effectively utilized. You will be responsible for ensuring the branch is meeting transportation b along with budget cost reduction strategies as they pertain. • Meet established metrics for operations (i.e., turns, service levels). • Coordinate Expired replacement pick up’s and drop offs as requested by warehouse teams. • Route efficiency planning – communicate with all surgical case coordinators to efficiently manage multiple routes while simultaneously reducing overall mileage, overtime, costs and coordinate the timely return of all inventory to its correct location. • Communication with sales partners to establish relationships with both teams while ensuring all cases are delivered on time, complete, and to the correct facility. • Develop and execute strategies to maximize driver capacity, considering variables like peak times, fluctuations in demand, and operational priorities. Collaborate seamlessly with both Inbound and Outbound teams, offering essential support and capacity as needed to ensure optimal efficiency. • Prepare vehicle maintenance reports and ensure scheduled maintenance of all vehicles. • Develop relationships with 3rd party courier companies to ensure accountability related to best pricing strategies, courier budgets, and courier routes. • Responsible for team’s vendor credentialing • Effectively use office technology (e.g. ERP systems, Access, Excel and Word.) and associated data analysis/diagnostic skills What you need - Required – • 5+ years of relevant/professional experience • High School Diploma or equivalent • Valid Driver’s license with no restrictions • Ability to work flexible hours, as needed to support the business needs, including weekend(s) and evening(s) as needed • Must have the ability to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 lbs. Preferred – • Related field such as Transportation or Supply Chain Management preferred. Demonstrated warehouse/inventory control experience in a demanding, fast-paced environment. • Bachelor’s degree -preferred Pay rate will not be below any applicable local minimum wage rates.
