About the position The Senior SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) is responsible for providing technical support for the database environments SQL 2012-2022 in 24/7 environment. Day to Day responsibilities include production support, access provisioning, dba related tasks, monitor systems alerts, technical reviews. Participate in on-call rotation. Provide assessment of database performance and the identification of problem areas. Document the company’s database environment. Building Drift management, alerting, deployment, and patching automation solutions using TSQL and PowerShell. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS : Production Performance troubleshooting / tuning: Ensuring high levels of performance, availability, sustainability and security Analyzing solving and correcting issues in real-time SQL server hardware / software issues troubleshooting Monitor the database performance and prepare database and progress reports. Provide reporting to management. Developing and automating drift management using TSQL/PowerShell Supporting databases on Azure Manage metrics using Idera/DPA/Dynatrace Backup/Recovery strategies Patching / Certification /Encryption keys management Administers, maintains, develops and implements policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the company database. Internal Audits Works on internal projects as assigned On-Call support Design, implement and manage high availability methods like AlawaysON Availability Groups, Replication, Log Shipping and Database Mirroring.
