With an ambitious goal to positively impact 10 million kids over the next five years, we invite passionate and creative individuals to join our dynamic team as a Rewards, Recognition, and Engagement Coordinator. About the Role As a Rewards, Recognition, and Engagement Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in our People & Culture team, focusing on celebrating our community of volunteers and making them feel valued and appreciated. This is a unique opportunity to work remotely and be part of a forward-thinking organization that is revolutionizing the way we approach social impact. Your primary responsibilities will include engaging with our community, maintaining a positive atmosphere, implementing recognition initiatives, and finding innovative ways to appreciate our diverse and inclusive volunteer base. Key Responsibilities: Community Engagement: Post volunteers' achievements, project milestones, birthdays, work anniversaries, and other significant events in our recognition and celebration channel to foster a sense of community and appreciation. Positive Atmosphere: Collaborate with GFL staff and lead volunteers to maintain a positive and empowering environment that promotes retention and encourages volunteers to contribute meaningfully. Recognition Initiatives: Develop and implement volunteer recognition programs, including planning online appreciation events, and finding creative ways to acknowledge volunteers' contributions. Inclusive Recognition: Ensure that recognition efforts are diverse, inclusive, and culturally aware, allowing volunteers from all backgrounds and with differing abilities to feel valued and included. Feedback and Improvement: Regularly seek out volunteer feedback through satisfaction surveys and follow-ups to improve operations and retention strategies. Marketing Updates: Provide updates to the marketing team for our newsletter, highlighting volunteer achievements and community milestones. Continuous Improvement: Always look for ways to enhance our channels and strategies with increased retention in mind. Qualifications and Skills Essential Qualifications: Time Commitment: Ability to donate approximately 5-10 hours per week for 12 months. Education: High school diploma and 2 years of experience working with volunteers, or a Bachelor's degree in a related field. Experience: Two years of experience in a progressive non-profit organization is highly desired. Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong passion for GFL's mission. Technical Skills: Proficient experience with Discord and Google Workspace. Preferred Qualifications: Non-Profit Experience: Experience working in a non-profit organization, particularly in a role focused on volunteer engagement and recognition. Passion for Gaming: A passion for gaming and an understanding of its potential as a tool for social impact.
