[Remote] HR Benefits Specialist, remote role within Florida

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. UF Health Jacksonville is seeking a Benefits Specialist to join their Human Resources team. This remote role requires the candidate to reside within Florida and involves supporting various HR functions related to benefits administration, policy development, and data analysis. Responsibilities • Processing status changes such as promotions, demotions, and rate adjustments. • Handling annual evaluations and benefit elections. • Data entry and assisting with educational assistance requests. • Generating reports as needed. • Collaborating with leadership to support the development and enhancement of HR policies and procedures related to conditions of employment. Skills • 2 or more years of benefits administration experience such as health and welfare benefits, retirement, and voluntary benefit administration. • Experience with benefits education such as new hire orientation and assisting employees with benefit questions. • Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications; particularly MS Excel for benefits reconciliation • Demonstrated experience in high quality customer service, critical thinking, interpersonal skills (both oral and written), with poise, tact, and diplomacy. • Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English effectively and professionally • 3 or more years of Human Resources experience within any HR discipline • Healthcare experience • PeopleSoft and or Workday experience Education Requirements • Bachelor’s Degree preferred but may be waived depending upon experience level Company Overview • UF Health Jacksonville is an academic health center that provides health professional and clinical research education.
