PHP Development Team Lead- Remote US Based

About the position You will be responsible for contributing to the technical design, development, and implementation of the Mode application ecosystem. The role involves more than just writing production code; in a typical week, you could be: brainstorming technical architecture options, providing feedback to improve our development processes, reviewing PRs from other team members, fixing a bug you randomly came across, or improving unit test coverage. We’re looking for an outstanding Team Lead Developer with a desire to participate in a growing team with the skills, experience, and understanding to join a small, but strong development team. In order to meet the many challenges and high volume work of the Mode users, it is important for the Lead Developer to have excellent communication. Requirements • Experience leading teams • Full-Stack developer with excellent command of PHP 7.1 and up • Symfony framework experience (2yrs) • 7+ years of recent PHP experience • Growth and Leadership Oriented • Able to manage competing priorities • Strong sense of task ownership, as well as team task ownership • Excellent command of HTML5, CSS, JavaScript • Excellent command of object-oriented programming concepts and coding best practices • Excellent command of source control (preferably Git and GitHub) • Excellent command of Linux (preferably Ubuntu) and familiarity with basic Development Operations • Excellent command of relational databases (preferably MySQL) • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate with the Development Team and Business Analysts in a collaborative environment • Experience in and desire to participate in mentoring, shaping the development process • A desire to help continue the transformation of heavily used enterprise systems through the implementation of best practices, standards, and strategic refactoring • Experience in code reviews • Demonstrated aptitude for estimation and self-direction • Enjoy working in a collaborative small team environment Nice-to-haves • Experience with Go language • Experience with Ruby on Rails • Experience with Docker • Experience with Laravel • Experience with React • Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs / SOA • Experience with Jira • Experience with AWS services • Experience with Bootstrap • Experience with Agile Development • Experience with Test Driven Development • Experience in debugging and examining logs for root cause • Experience refactoring production enterprise systems • Enterprise scale DBA experience with strong control of complex joins, MySQL functions, triggers, stored procedures, writing raw queries from scratch, investigating complex queries Apply tot his job
