Manufacturing & Supply Chain Data Analyst

Job Description We are seeking a Manufacturing & Supply Chain Data Analyst to provide expert interpretation and business context for manufacturing and supply chain data. This role focuses on data understanding, clarity, and insight generation rather than dashboard development or data engineering. You will act as a critical link between complex operational data and business stakeholders, ensuring data is accurately defined, well-understood, and used effectively for decision-making. Key Responsibilities • Analyze, interpret, and explain manufacturing and supply chain data related to: • Inventory management • Vehicle allocation • Sales and operational reporting • Translate complex data into clear, actionable business insights for stakeholders • Provide business context for data elements, hierarchies, and relationships across systems • Support metadata development and validation for data ingestion into the enterprise data lake • Validate data definitions, dependencies, and completeness across manufacturing and logistics systems • Partner with business and technical teams to ensure data accuracy and usability Technical Environment • Legacy and modern data platforms, including: • IMS and DB2 • PostgreSQL and Oracle • AWS-based enterprise data platforms • SQL-based querying and data analysis tools Required Qualifications • Strong domain expertise in manufacturing and supply chain operations • Automotive industry experience is mandatory (OEM experience preferred) • Proven experience interpreting operational data and explaining it in business terms • Strong understanding of manufacturing-related data systems and reporting structures • Comfort working across legacy and modern databases • Excellent communication and documentation skills (American English) Preferred Qualifications • Experience supporting metadata or data governance initiatives • Familiarity with enterprise data lakes or AWS-based data platforms • Prior experience working with cross-functional business and IT teams Job Type: Contract Pay: $40.00 - $65.00 per hour Benefits: • Health insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance Work Location: Remote Apply tot his job
