Klaviyo Strategist / CRM Specialist (Strategy & Optimization Only)

We’re looking for an experienced Klaviyo specialist to take ownership of the strategy, optimization, and performance side of our email marketing. Important: We handle email design, copy, and campaign execution internally. This role is not about building emails - it’s about deciding what to send, when, to whom, and why, and continuously improving results inside Klaviyo. This is an ongoing, monthly collaboration. What You’ll Be Responsible For - Owning Klaviyo account structure & health - Reviewing and optimizing: Segmentation logic (engagement windows, VIPs, product affinity, suppression) Flow logic, prioritization & timing Deliverability & sender reputation - Defining: Recommended email cadence (campaigns vs flows) Campaign types needed (promo, educational, retention, reactivation, etc.) Flow roadmap (what to optimize next and why) Monitoring and improving key metrics: Flow revenue contribution Revenue per recipient Open rate, CTR, unsubscribe & spam complaint rates Providing clear, actionable recommendations our team can execute You will not: - Design emails - Write copy - Build templates - Send campaigns What We’re Looking For: - Strong hands-on experience with Klaviyo (DTC e-commerce) - Proven ability to improve email performance, not just “run flows” - Deep understanding of: Deliverability fundamentals Email fatigue & cadence control Lifecycle marketing (pre → post → repeat → reactivation) Ability to explain why something should be done, not just what Comfortable working async and giving structured feedback Experience with brands doing meaningful monthly revenue is a big plus. Engagement Structure - Hourly or ongoing monthly retainer - 1× monthly deep-dive / review - Strategic planning + async support during the month - Clear ownership of Klaviyo performance & recommendations - Budget range will reflect experience and impact - quality over cheap execution.
