As an Area Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring that our customers receive their orders on time, to the right location, and with the highest levels of quality and safety. **Our Operations Workflow** Our Operations workflow is a three-tiered system, consisting of: * **First Mile**: This is where the product is housed and ready for order. Our team works tirelessly to ensure that products are accurately stored and ready for shipment. * **Middle Mile**: This is where the order is hauled to your area. Our team works closely with our logistics partners to ensure that orders are delivered efficiently and effectively. * **Last Mile**: This is when the product is delivered to the customer's door. Our team is dedicated to ensuring that customers receive their orders on time, in good condition, and with a smile. **Key Responsibilities and Job Elements** As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of hourly workforce and ensuring that they are engaged and motivated during their shifts. Your key responsibilities will include: * **Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce**: You will be responsible for leading and developing your team, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge they need to succeed. * **Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises**: You will be responsible for ensuring that our customers receive their orders on time, in good condition, and with the highest levels of quality and safety. * **Collaborate with all support teams**: You will work closely with our Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and Human Resources teams to develop plans to meet business objectives. * **Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach**: You will be required to lift and move packages and equipment as needed. * **Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts**: You will be required to stand and walk for extended periods of time during your shifts. * **Work in an environment where the noise level varies and can be loud**: You will be working in a fast-paced environment with varying noise levels. * **Work in an environment that is subject to variable temperatures and weather**: You will be working in an environment that is subject to changing temperatures and weather conditions. * **Continuously climb and descend stairs (applies to sites with stairs)**: You will be required to climb and descend stairs as needed. **Why Join blithequark?** We offer a dynamic and fast-paced work environment, with opportunities for professional growth and development.
