The Transportation Examination group is a Business Intelligence (BI) team that supports the transportation function's daily operations by analyzing vast amounts of data to inform business decisions. As a Data Analyst in this group, you will be an integral part of a dynamic team that is shaping the future of retail through data-driven insights. Key Responsibilities Work with large, complex, and dynamic datasets to conduct ad-hoc analyses that inform critical business decisions rapidly. Create ETLs (Extract, Transform, Load) or processes that pull data from various sources and unify it in one table. Develop data visualizations to monitor and measure the impact of changes and special business initiatives. Engage with colleagues and cross-functional teams on a regular basis to establish credibility and analyze stakeholder needs. Collaborate with stakeholders to share relevant information, including working with Operations, Finance, and Product teams on data accuracy, completeness, and latency across various processes and systems. Leverage scripting languages (Python preferred) to automate tasks created for reporting, such as screen captures, metrics prioritization, and anomaly detection. Document your processes and share your insights with your peers, and mentor your colleagues as you become a subject matter expert. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics. Excellent SQL skills, with the ability to manipulate data from multiple tables while maintaining data integrity. Creativity with a Client Experience foundation to develop meaningful data visualizations, preferably using tools like Tableau. Business Operations Familiarity, with the ability to understand and root cause business problems, ideally with a Supply Chain background and transportation experience. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Advanced experience in SQL and data visualization tools like Tableau. Experience with e-commerce operations or package carrier operations. Experience with Python or other scripting languages. Experience with data manipulation tools, such as Knime, Alteryx, R, or Tableau Prep.
