Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Customer Service Representative to join our team as a remote Customer Advocate Phone Specialist. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for providing inbound phone support, assisting customer inquiries, and delivering exceptional service that embodies our values of excellence, privacy, compliance, and versatility. Key Responsibilities Identify, research, process, resolve, and respond to customer inquiries and correspondence via telephone, written communication, and/or in-person, ensuring timely and effective solutions. Act as a Member Advocate, explaining various information concerning blithequark's services, including contract benefits, changes in coverage, eligibility, claims, programs, provider networks, and more. Answer a high volume of health insurance-related customer calls and correspondence daily, meeting quality, quantity, and timeliness standards to achieve individual and department performance goals. Document and record facts regarding inquiries and correspondence by updating blithequark files and systems, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records. Demonstrate and maintain current working knowledge of required blithequark systems, procedures, forms, and manuals, staying abreast of industry developments and best practices. Perform all other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the customer service team and blithequark's mission. Essential Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent required. At least 1 year of external Customer Service Experience, preferably in the health insurance industry or a related field. Intermediate skill in using office equipment, including copiers, fax machines, scanners, and telephones. Detailed-oriented, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy, navigate multiple computer systems and software programs, and work in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications Bilingual proficiency in Spanish, with the opportunity to earn an additional $1 per hour Bilingual Premium. Previous experience in a remote or call center environment, with a proven track record of providing exceptional customer service and meeting performance goals. Knowledge of health insurance products, services, and networks, with the ability to explain complex information in a clear and concise manner. Skills and Competencies Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse customers, colleagues, and stakeholders. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to research and resolve complex customer inquiries and issues. Ability to work in a remote environment, with minimal supervision, and maintain a high level of productivity, motivation, and engagement. Proficiency in using computer systems, software programs, and technology, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools and platforms.
